ARM- Run for Shelter

Run for Shelter 5K

December 22, 2011

I was contacted by the head of race operations to develop a website for the first annual “Run for Shelter 5k” for the Augusta Rescue Mission, a homeless shelter that strives to teach and promote life skills to its inhabitants in the Augusta, GA area.

While examining the timeline and the budget, we decided instead to create a robust facebook page for the promotion of the race, and to provide a buzz through the well-known social media platform.

Although facebook’s timeline update for fan pages created a hurdle, the finished development provided a nice, clean design with the ability to pre-register for the race and a space to show the funding sponsors some love.

Measurable results? Yezzir! Over $20k dollars were raised for the Augusta Rescue Mission, provided them enough funds to look at many improvements in the shelter, including a brand new roofing system.

Feel free to visit the page here, and if you’re close enough to make it next year, like it to stay informed about updates and mini-events in the future.
